The MGS Series Ring Main Unit is an extensible, SF6 insulated switchgear solution designed for medium voltage distribution networks. Available in 10 configurations to suit various switching applications in 12/24/36 kV systems, it provides a complete solution for secondary distribution networks with identical user interfaces to ABB equipment.

Key Features

All high voltage live parts contained in a 3mm stainless steel, air-tight SF6 gas tank
Complete SF6 insulation ensures exceptional reliability and maintenance-free operation
Available with either switch-fuse combination or circuit-breaker with relay for transformer protection
Optional integrated remote control and monitoring unit
IP67 protection for gas tank and fuse holder, IP4X for RMU enclosure
Successfully tested for internal arc (20kA for 1s) and water treatment (11kV for 24 hours)
